Just purchased this yesterday from Bed and Bath. Right now I tried the toast feature. Applied the light brown setting on some bagels, came out light brown. Subsequent the dark brown setting came out dark brown and not burnt. It performs. As for the rack not getting attached to the door(this appears to be an issue for some) this oven has two levels for the rack, this signifies you can not have that function. The crumb tray removal is fine, you just have to have to wait until the oven cools off before removing it. It's also very good as baking rack if you wanted to use it as 1. One more issue with these units is a convection fan that's truly loud. Not this one particular. Quite quiet. Can't even inform it really is on. For some cause, the nameplate HAMILTON BEACH never ever clicked with me as an appliance super star, or even star. I stand corrected. I took a flier and bought this thinking it would almost certainly go back. I'd done the similar with other alot more expensive and disappointing toaster ovens so hope was not high.This oven has been a content surprise. My acid test is this a single toasted piece of bread. How even is the brown. If it goes nicely right here, all else will comply with. I am really happily shocked by the result and hope for a long life from this tiny box. The overall create good quality is fine. My only reservation would be - how long will the twisting timer last. It could grow to be an problem, but I believe that would come about

I have no oven so I use it all the time. It is a bit slow to heat up and I really feel as it get older it is obtaining slower. I was going to acquire a new 1 with alot more energy and alot more covienient attributes but as I analysis Toaster ovens they all appear to have identical issues. I could possibly just get the next model up in hopes it heats up faster. To this day it still toasts bread perfectly and relatively rapid. The broiler is slow. Persons say the out side heats up to significantly and I am like OK fine so I put my plates on best
